Publish and distribute surveys

A survey must be Live (ACTIVE) to accept real participant responses on public links.

Click Publish in the study header. This:

  1. Saves pending question and page changes
  2. Sets status to Live

Use the status dropdown on a study card: Live, Draft, Paused, or Closed.

Open Distribute from the survey list to launch the distribution modal.

  • Generic link/respond/{studyId} (auto-detects study type and language when configured)
  • Per-language links — direct participants to a specific translation

Copy links for email, Slack, or QR codes. Participants do not need a FromUsers account.

Three-step Distribution wizard:

  1. Compose — pick an email template, edit subject/body, use variables like {{participant_name}}
  2. Recipients — select a participant sample or enter addresses manually
  3. Review & send — confirm and send via SendPulse (org email config required)

Track delivery in Message tracker.

Connect to Prolific for panel recruitment:

  • Create a distribution with filters and compensation
  • Participants may complete a screener at /prolific-screen/{studyId}
  • Completion redirects through /prolific-complete/{studyId}

Requires Prolific API configuration on your deployment.
