Surveys overview

A survey in FromUsers is a multi-page questionnaire you share with participants via link, email, or research panel. Surveys support advanced question types, conditional logic, multiple languages, and custom branding.

When to use a survey

Customer satisfaction, NPS, or post-interaction feedback
Market research and concept testing
Card sorting, tree testing, MaxDiff, or conjoint studies
Any research where participants answer questions without a prototype task flow

Study lifecycle

Status	Meaning
Draft	Not accepting live responses (preview may still work)
Live (`ACTIVE`)	Accepting participant responses via public link
Paused	Temporarily stopped
Closed	No longer collecting responses

Set status from the study list dropdown or click Publish in the editor (saves changes and sets Live).

Participant settings (Configure)

Common options in Participant response settings:

Progress bar — show completion progress
Save partial responses — allow participants to resume
Prevent multiple responses — one submission per browser (cookie-based)
Thank-you message and optional redirect
Legal / screener pages — qualify or consent before main questions
Generic link behavior — how multilingual links handle language selection
