Navigation and dashboard

The Dashboard (/dashboard) is your home after login. It provides:

  • Quick links to create a survey, usability test, or in-product survey
  • Recent activity for surveys and usability tests
  • Summary stat cards (placeholders may show until wired to live metrics)

Use the dashboard when you want the fastest path to a new study.

The top bar always shows FromUsers.com on the left. On study list pages you see three study-type links:

  1. Surveys
  2. Usability Tests
  3. In-Product Surveys

The active tab is underlined. On mobile, icons and shortened labels appear.

The sidebar can be collapsed (icon-only) or expanded (labels). Hover collapsed items to see tooltips; items with submenus show a flyout (e.g. Distribution).

Distribution in the app expands to:

  • Email Templates
  • Message Tracker

Participants (/participants) holds sample lists and participation history — see Participant samples in the docs under Distribution.

When you edit a study (/surveys/{id}/edit, /usability-tests/{id}/edit, or /in-product-surveys/{id}/edit):

  • The left sidebar and top study-type nav are hidden for a focused builder experience
  • A study header appears in the top bar with tabs: Configure, Build, Logic & Variables, etc.
  • Back returns to the study type list

While in the editor, use Ctrl+Tab or Ctrl+Page Down to cycle editor tabs (where configured in the tab catalog).

Each study type has a list view with:

  • Search and sort
  • Status filter (Live, Draft, Paused, Closed — in-product uses Live/Inactive)
  • Per-study actions: Edit, Preview, Distribute, Results, Translations, Copy, Delete
  • In-product surveys also show Embed

The Results & Insights Studio index (/results-insights) is a landing page. To analyze a study:

  1. Open the study list (Surveys, Usability Tests, or In-Product Surveys)
  2. Click Results on a study card

This opens /results-insights/{type}/{studyId} where {type} is surveys, tests, or in-product-surveys.

These routes are for participants, not researchers:
